• Do you access your Hotmail account through Outlook Express (v5.5)?
  Fed up with the ad bar wasting time and screen space?
  I've successfully edited two registry keys to disable it.

  "ShowAdBar"=dword:00000000
  
  [HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Internet Account Manager\Accounts\xxxxxxxx]
  "ShowAdBar"=dword:00000000
  
  Where xxxxxxxx is a value assigned to your Hotmail account by Outlook Express.
  The default dword value should be 00000001 in both cases.
  Change it to 00000000, as above and hey presto!
  No more ad bar with Outlook Hotmail.
