      Windows 98 includes a tool called Microsoft System Information (Msinfo32.exe).       You may receive Userenv event ID 1000 in the Application log when you run Msinfo32.exe in a certain way. The text of event ID 1000 is:
      Windows cannot unload your registry file. If you have a roaming profile, your settings are not replicated. Contact your administrator.

    • No information displayed in MSINFO
      If you try to view information on your system using Microsoft System Information (MSINFO), you may not see any information (blank fields) for all or some of the categories.
      If all fails try this fix.
      Load your Windows 98 CD-ROM
      Type the following commands in the Run box on the Start Menu:
