Newest Version of Windows Released |
|
Microsoft has released a new version of their operating system called Windows 7, and inital sales figures
report that twice as many copies of Windows 7 have been sold than were sold during the same period during the release of Windows
Vista. It only includes a few new features, like touch screen compatibility. You'll likely need a new monitor to use that
feature, which is not an option for built in laptop monitors. It was designed to be compatible with hardware and software that is
currently available for Windows Vista. So upgrading from Vista to Windows 7 is not as difficult as it was from XP to Vista. |

Sales of Windows XP Have Still Not Come To An End |
|
Officially Microsoft is not selling Windows XP; however, the supply has not dissapeared from all the store shelves.
Microsoft has committed to provide support for XP through to 2014. |

A province-wide used electronics recycling program is now available to consumers and businesses
in British Columbia. You are able to drop off any used Desktop Computers (including accessories), Computer Monitors,
